Womb Song

The journey through birth and into parenthood is one of the most sacred rites of passage and thresholds in the human experience, yet for many it is a period of loneliness, fear, overwhelm and even trauma.

Womb Song offers a sanctuary during this time with simple yet powerful tools of support through the ancient human technology of singing.

Singing is a simple, accessible and potent tool, scientifically demonstrated to reduce stress, elevate endorphins and strengthen the bond between parent and child, even in the womb.

For over a decade Womb Song has been guiding the perinatal journey through song since Amanda West and Megan Jacobsmeyer first brought it to the U.S. from where it began in London, UK.

Singing has been used for millennia around the world to support life transitions such as birth, and Womb Song passionately carries on this lineage. Womb Song guides pregnant, new parents and interested birth workers through the art, science and magic of singing into parenthood. Our work includes community singing circles, labor and birth support, parent/baby blessings, and education.
